1. Identification and purpose

Bluprox is a mobile app that enables real connections between people based on physical proximity detected via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) at events and in-person venues. Bluprox has no in-app messaging: its purpose is to encourage real meetings outside the app, not to replace them.

These terms govern access to and use of the Bluprox app and this website, provided by:

Using the app implies full acceptance of these terms and of the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, you must not register or use the service. At sign-up you are asked to expressly accept both documents.

2. Access conditions

• Minimum age (18): access to Bluprox is restricted to people aged 18 and over. By registering you declare and warrant that you meet this requirement. Age is validated from your date of birth at sign-up and, optionally, can be verified by reading your ID card via NFC.
• Accurate data: you agree to provide truthful, complete and up-to-date information, including your name, date of birth and profile photos. Note that name and date of birth cannot be edited manually once your account exists; they can only be updated through the optional NFC ID verification.
• One account per person: each user may keep only one account. Creating additional accounts, impersonating others or providing another person's data without their consent is not allowed.
• Credentials: you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity on your account.

3. How the service works

• BLE detection: while the app is active, your device broadcasts and detects a rotating, encrypted identifier over Bluetooth Low Energy that recognises when you are physically near another Bluprox user. The signal carries no identity or profile data.
• Encounters: when two users have been close enough, the app records an "encounter", which syncs with our server to enable a possible match. No location coordinates are tied to an encounter.
• Reactions and matches: if both people show mutual interest after an encounter, a match is created. Bluprox has no in-app chat.
• Contact exchange: after a match, each person decides whether to share a way to reach them (WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, etc.). That exchange is end-to-end encrypted: the identifier you share travels encrypted and our server cannot read it (see the Privacy Policy).
• Coins and payments: the app includes a virtual-coin system that can be purchased via in-app payments through Apple or Google and used to unlock features (section 6).
• Events: Bluprox may offer in-person events with location-based check-in (section 7).
• Availability: the service is provided "as is" and its availability may be affected by maintenance, updates or technical causes. We may enable or disable features (e.g. purchases or events) remotely.

4. User obligations

When using Bluprox, you agree to:

• Use the app properly and lawfully.
• Not publish illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, disallowed sexually explicit content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Not harass, threaten or intimidate other users, inside or outside the app.
• Not send spam or use the app for unauthorised commercial purposes.
• Not manipulate, fraudulently exploit or attempt to breach the coin system, the BLE detection system, event check-in or any other mechanism (including faking encounters, presence or location).
• Not impersonate others or provide false information.
• Not use the app while driving or in any way that endangers your safety or that of others.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish on your profile (photos, bio and other information), and must ensure it does not infringe third-party rights or the law.

5. Intellectual property and your content

The Bluprox brand, logo, design, software and other content we generate are owned by Alberto Flores Quintanilla or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable licence to use the app under these terms. This licence does not include any right to resell, copy, modify or commercially exploit the app or its content.

You retain ownership of the content you create (photos, bio), but grant us a licence to store it, display it to other users and process it (including automated moderation) as needed to provide the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must retain during the legal periods set out in the Privacy Policy.

6. Virtual coins and payments

• Nature: Bluprox coins are not real money, have no value outside the app and cannot be exchanged for cash. They are a limited in-app licence to unlock certain features.
• Purchase: coins are bought through in-app payments handled by Apple (StoreKit) or Google (Google Play Billing). We have no access to your payment details. Coins are credited after the store receipt is verified.
• Non-refundable: unless applicable law provides otherwise, coin purchases are non-refundable once the transaction is complete and the balance credited.
• Refunds: refund requests are governed by the policies of the relevant store (App Store or Google Play), through which payment is handled.
• Right of withdrawal: as digital content supplied immediately, by completing the purchase you request immediate performance and acknowledge the loss of the right of withdrawal over coins already credited, under consumer law.
• Prices and catalogue: we may change the price and composition of coin packs, informing you before any new purchase. The catalogue of packs and their prices in force are those shown in the app and on the relevant store listing at the time of purchase.
• Availability: purchases may be temporarily disabled for maintenance or operational reasons.

The features that coins unlock and their cost are shown in the app itself at the point of use, and may be adjusted as described in section 11. Coins are not offered in exchange for viewing advertising.

7. Events and check-ins

• Bluprox may offer in-person events. To confirm attendance (check-in), your GPS location is requested occasionally, to validate that you are at the event venue.
• Fraudulent check-in (faking location, presence or identity) is prohibited and may lead to loss of rewards and account suspension.
• The specific conditions of each event (capacity, schedule, rewards, participation limits) may be communicated within the app.

The events feature is being rolled out progressively: it may not be available in every app version or territory.

8. Moderation, suspension and account deletion

• Photo moderation: profile photos undergo automated screening before publication. Photos that breach our content rules will be rejected.
• Grounds for suspension: we may suspend or cancel your account for breach of these terms, including failing the age requirement, harassment, fraud in the coin or events system, or publishing illegal or inappropriate content.
• Voluntary deletion: you can delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deletion also erases the encrypted local database on your device and applies the retention model described in the Privacy Policy.
• Appeal: if you believe your account was suspended in error, you can write to support@bluproxapp.com stating why the decision should be reviewed.

9. Limitation of liability

Bluprox is a tool that enables the possibility of real connections between people who have physically crossed paths, but does not guarantee that any meeting will occur, nor the compatibility, behaviour, identity or intentions of other users. Optional NFC verification only proves that an adult's ID card was used; it does not prove ownership of the document or the identity of the person you interact with.

We are not responsible for interactions, meetings or relationships that occur between users outside the app. We recommend acting with caution, especially at first in-person meetings.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the app or the conduct of third parties. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, in particular towards consumers.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer-protection rules. If you reside in the European Union, you may use the European Commission's online dispute-resolution platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms to reflect legal, technical or service changes. We will notify any substantial change through the app or by email before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the new terms, you must stop using the app; continued use after they take effect implies acceptance.

These terms and conditions take effect on 8 September 2026.
